In the spirit of giving, OneBuckBlog is now offering free website and blog review submission. This is a standard service that we plan to provide for the long term. If you have a story or ideas that are news worthy, please share them with our readers. This is one of the most cost effective ways to get some buzz for your site.
Your post will have one link within the review and you can upload an image or banner for your website. The only catch, is that you write the review. We will then send it out to all the popular social bookmarking sites, just as we do with all other reviews.
To submit a free review, click the link at the top and enter your website information into the form and submit it. We will do the rest.
Happy Holidays to all!

For some time now, critics have complained about wiki sites like the OneEuroWiki, and others that we will not name. Critics claim that they “just don’t get it.” Well we would like to offer reassurance to those who have supported our wiki site because it has come to our attention that we have tapped into a technology that will continue to prosper in the future.
Google recently announced that they are developing their own wiki as a way for writers to publish information. This gives validity to our previous claims, that wiki sites are an excellent medium for website owners and bloggers to publish information. Currently Google’s project is only in the beta stage, as they are planning to develop unique features not found on Wikipedia, such as revenue sharing for advertisements on wiki pages. What’s different from other wiki’s, is that in order to post information on Google’s wiki, you will have to provide personal information that is publicly visible for each post. Authors who desire recognition for their contributions will find this attractive, but some people would like to remain anonymous and avoid being contacted by spammers. Anonymity will not exist on the Google wiki.
In contrast, the OneEuroWiki offers you 100% of the profits from your wiki page advertisements and affiliate links. The only cost is the one-time setup fee of 1 Euro, which is less than 1 and a half dollars. You control the content of your wiki page without disclosing any of your personal information into the public arena. We value our customers and do not think their personal information should be available to the public, unless the owner decides to publish it.
If you are still having second thoughts about buying your own wiki page, then maybe you should enroll in Business 101 at your local university. Google has jumped onto the so called “wiki bandwagon,” so we wonder how long it is going to take you to understand the power of the wiki.

Bloggers concerned with search engine rank understand that writing posts about popular subjects and using certain “keyword” phrases can help develop search engine results. This is similar to picking relevant meta tag keywords and descriptions for search engine optimization. Of course your blog post must contain unique and interesting information for readers to stay tuned for your next post and possibly subscribe to your rss feeds.
Here is a list of the Top Ten search terms for Google in 2007:
1. iPhone
2. Webkinz
3. TMZ
4. Transformer toys
5. YouTube
6. Club Penguin
7. MySpace
8. Heroes
9. Facebook
10. Anna Nicole Smith
Now I am not saying that everyone should write blog posts about Anna Nicole Smith or Transformer toys, because they are not relevant topics for blogs that provide the information to web geeks, us included.
Think about it, whenever new technologies are developed by social network sites like Webkinz, or Facebook’s new advertising system, we all want to know about it. It feeds our appetites for the lastest and greatest revenue generating possibilities on the Internet. Why else would ShoeMoney have a Facebook Ads banner positioned at the top of his posts? Why else would John Chow write a recent post about the new 2009 Corvette ZR1? And why else would I write about the Top Ten Google search terms for 2007?
We are providing information about topics that are potentially high profile keywords for search engine users. On the other hand, keyword spamming is a strategy that I do not recommend. Don’t just publish a keyword filled post, because it is worthless to your readers, and will be filtered out by search engines, and could potentially damage your site ranking. Simply mentioning the keyword iPhone once or twice is sufficient.
Keep in mind, there is tremendous competition for ranking high for certain keywords, so keep your expectations grounded. This is not a magic trick.
Incorporate this strategy in your blog, and let us know if your blog traffic from search engines increases.

Recently a $31.5 million dollar combined settlement was reached between the U.S. Attorneys Office and three of the largest Internet businesses. Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google were agreed to pay $21, $7.5, and $3 million, respectively. Google’s $3 million dollar portion of the settlement is less than 30 percent of their daily revenue, so don’t expect them to lose much sleep at night.
The federal civil allegations claimed that Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google had accepted illegal advertising money from online gambling websites. This should answer your questions about allowing Internet gambling sites to advertise on your blog or website.
Although few, if anyone in the blogging community are generating enough money from gambling advertisements to overlook the risk of a lawsuit, some blogrolls still contain online casino links because the money does help pay the blog operating expenses.
With the precedent set in this settlement, don’t bet on gambling advertisers making you money.
